Saint Tropez soirée in Cannes

The soirée organised by theTourist Officeof Saint Tropez and Mediterraneum Editions, publisher of The Riviera Times, Riviera-Côte d’Azur Zeitung and Il Corriere della Costa Azzurra, attracted over 500 local personalities, VIPs and readers from across the region. It was a balmy, beautiful evening and guests enjoyed champagne cocktails, wine and canapés St Tropezienne-style right on the beach at the Majestic Hotel in Cannes. As a halfway house between Saint-Tropez and readers in the east as far as Liguria in Italy, the hotel on the famous Croisette of Cannes proved an excellent venue. Dr Jean-Michel Couve, Mayor of Saint Tropez who was present in his role as President of the Tourist Office, and his team presented the town’s summer programme of events. A Brazilian band and exotic dancers added to the party atmosphere and soon had people dancing. Events on during the summer include a not-to-be-missed exhibition at the Annonciade and entitled "Le Cavalier Bleu", featuring Kandinsky, Marc and Klee among many others. The town celebrates women over the summer from July 10 to August 31 in Femmes d’Europe, the centre piece of which is a contemporary exhibition.
